Daily Deals Site Caters To The GLBT Community
The Need for GLBT-centric Deals Is Now Being Addressed

HOLLYWOOD, FL, April 17, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The recently-launched website, Halfcake.com, is the destination for businesses to connect with the GLBT-minded buyers. The site will feature daily deals throughout cities in North America that highlight both GLBT-owned and -focused businesses, such as gay bars and clubs, gay hotels, and gay travel, and also non-GLBT-owned business that want to reach out to this specific target market, such as restaurants, spas, gyms, and other retail locations.

Daily deal sites such as groupon and livingsocial have been popular with the general population, but we wanted to create a site that would cater to the tastes of the GLBT community, says Halfcake.com co-founder Donald Banks. Halfcake.com offers free subscription to the site. Once registered, subscribers will receive a daily e-mail featuring various deals in the city they choose. The site had more than 7,000 subscribers in their first week, and Banks says they anticipate having 50,000 subscribers by the end of May.

Halfcake.com is scheduled to launch deals in the beginning of May in all the major hotspots, including New York, LA, Chicago and San Francisco. The goal is to feature deals in 35 North American markets by the end of the summer.
